I have been teaching here at Irmo for 15 years, in the English Department. Before this I taught at Saluda High School. I attended high school in Orangeburg, SC, and I received an undergraduate degree in English from the College of Charleston. I received a Master's degree of Education in Divergent Learning at Columbia College, and in 2009 I became a National Board certfied teacher. In 2019 I renewed my National Board certification for another ten years.
I have been married for 27 years, and we have four sons, ranging in ages from 13 to 26, and a 5-year-old daughter.
