Mr. Robert Wagner

Hello, my name is Robert Wagner, I am the primary academic teacher for the MC resource class here at CHS.  I will also be working closely with Karan Bundrick (District 5 Job Coach) & Jeff Woods (SC Vocational Rehabilitation) to assist our students in strengthening both their career skills & employment opportunities within our community.  Ms. Anita Behreandt will be back again this year working with our class, helping students in the classroom & on our school-based job sites. Together, it is our mission to reach our individual goals by collaborating & working together.  This is the second year that our class will be working toward earning State Credential. For rising Juniors, Sophomore & Freshmen students, they are currently earning credits for the State Credential. For our older students, they are working toward receiving a District Credential.  We are excited & look forward to a successful 2020-2021 school year.

This is my 31st year in education, with most of my teaching experience coming from working in Special Education classes in the Midlands area.  I am originally from Arkansas, but attended Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, TN, earning my BSE in Education. I have also attended the University of South Carolina and the College of Charleston to earn & maintain my Special Education certifications.

My classroom management style is simple, I teach my students to, "Do What We Do-When We Do".  The expectation is that whatever we are doing at the moment we will do our very best.  This philosophy also reflects our school rally cry:

“We aRe Chapin”  the “R” stands for Ready to learn, Respectful to others and being Responsible to ourselves

Parents & family members are always welcome to visit our classroom.  Please use the information found on this website to contact me with any questions or concerns.  It is a pleasure to serve your children, and with our collective effort, we will be successful by reaching all of our goals.
