Mrs. Alice White

Welcome to World Languages. As a Spanish instructor in the World Language Department  I am beginning my 10th year at Chapin High School.

I graduated from Wofford College with a B.A. in Spanish . During that time I studied at the University of Seville in Seville, Spain. That was only the beginning of my love of language and travel. I travelled throughout much of Europe during the year following my graduation before returning to begin my graduate studies. I earned an M.A.T in Spanish from USC Columbia. I am also in the process of earning my Special Education certification.

I began teaching high school in 1991. After the birth of my first child I decided to be a stay at home Mom. During that time I created the Bilingual Buddies Spanish Enrichment Program providing Spanish classes in preschools, community areas and businesses. I joined Lexington Richland School District 5 as an elementary teacher with Lake Murray and Dutch Fork Elementary Schools. Later the opportunity arose for me to become a Chapin High School Eagle and here I am! This year I have the honor and opportunity of serving as Teacher of the Year for Chapin High School and I could not be more thrilled at the opportunities this brings!
