Special Education k-12 Multi Categorical Early Childhood Elementary Education
My name is Gloria Hardie, and I am a special education teacher at Dutch Fork Elementary. I have degrees in special education K-12, early childhood, and elementary education from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. Throughout my career, I have taught in a variety of settings ranging from high school to preschool. Outside of the traditional classroom, I have been a Therapeutic Support Staff (Behaviorist), counselor, recreational leader, camp craft director, youth leader, and respite care provider for children and adults of multiple ability levels. These experiences have given me the perspective to use play to think outside the box to address each child’s individual needs. My goal, as an educator, is to give children the tools they need to find their unique voice that will enable them to molds their future.
My teaching motto is:
Offering hope by encouraging growth.
