Mrs. Kelley Hill

Kelley Hill is a 4th grade teacher at Dutch Fork Elementary School. This is her 24th year teaching elementary school full time and her 12th year in Lexington District 5. She has a B.S. in elementary education from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio. She has her Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Literacy. She has her Read to Succeed and Gifted and Talented endorsements. She began her teaching career by teaching 2nd grade to 32 precious students at Brunswick Elementary, a Title One school in Brunswick, Maryland. Then she moved to California and taught Kindergarten for 5 years (morning and afternoon classes) in Redding, CA.

She took some time off to be a stay at home mom to her 3 children and then when the youngest entered elementary school, resumed her teaching career. For 6 years she taught 4K here in South Carolina and then transitioned back to 2nd grade at a private school for 4 years. In 2012, she had the opportunity to be a part of the first autism classroom at Ballentine Elementary and is currently entering her 11th year of teaching 4th grade at Dutch Fork Elementary. In addition to her years of teaching experience, she has many additional hours of continuing education classes from Chico State in CA, Coastal Carolina, SC, Project Wet, Project Learning Tree, as well as data team facilitator training and workshops with teaching with inquiry led by Dr. Heidi Mills. She has been a coaching teaching through USC for the last 9 years as well.
