Mrs. Kelley Hill
Kelley Hill is a 4th grade teacher at Dutch Fork Elementary School. This is her 20th year teaching elementary school full time and her 6th year in Lexington District 5. She has a B.S. in elementary education from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio. She began her teaching career teaching 2nd grade to 32 precious students at Brunswick Elementary, a Title One school in Brunswick, Maryland. Then she moved to California and taught Kindergarten for 5 years (morning and afternoon classes) in Redding, CA. She took some time off to be a stay at home mom to her 3 children and then when the youngest entered elementary school, resumed her teaching career. For 6 years she taught 4K here in South Carolina and then transitioned back to 2nd grade at a private school for 4 years. In 2012, she had the opportunity to be a part of the first autism classroom at Ballentine Elementary and is currently entering her 5th year of teaching 4th grade at Dutch Fork Elementary. In addition to her years of teaching experience, she has many additional hours of continuing education classes from Chico State in CA, Coastal Carolina, SC, Project Wet, Project Learning Tree, as well as data team facilitator training and workshops with teaching with inquiry led by Dr. Heidi Mills and is currently pursuing a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on reading intervention.
