This year is my 30th year of teaching. My experience has been in teaching four-year-old Kindergarten, five-year-old Kindergarten, First Grade and Third Grade. I received my both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina.
I am the mother of four sons: Zachary (25), Andrew (21), Matthew (18) and Daniel (17). Throughout the years the boys have participated in and continue in many sports (swim team, baseball, football, track, lacrosse, and wrestling). Our family is active at Union United Methodist Church.
While I absolutely love teaching, reading to my students is probably most my favorite activity throughout the school day. If I were allowed to, I would read ALL day long to my students!! My goal each and every day is to inspire my students to want to read.

I have been teaching since 1999. I have an education degree from Liberty University. I have taught 4K, Montesorri and Kindergarten. I love working with this age group because of their enthusiasm and natural curiosity.
My husband, Trevor and I have been married for 27 years. We moved to Irmo from Fredericksburg, Virginia in 2013 with our two daughters Ashley (19) and Kathryn (14). Ashley is attending Clemson University, studying Architecture. Kathryn goes to Dutch Fork High School and is a former DFES student. I am looking forward to an awesome year working with you and your child.
