Mrs. Kathryn Meetze

Hello, HEC Crocs!  My name is Kathryn Meetze, and I am so excited about this school year!  I can’t wait to get to know each of you, so I thought you may want to know a little bit about me!  My husband, John Allen, and I are high school sweethearts.  We are actually D5 graduates from Chapin High School!  I went off to Winthrop University in Rock to earn a degree in Elementary Education.  Since then, I’ve taught 3rd through 5th grade and served as a Reading Interventionist for 2 years.  Intervention is my passion!  I love really getting to know a kid, celebrating their strengths, and pinpointing their needs!  Building relationships, those lightbulb moments, and smiles of “I did it!” are why I love teaching!  My husband and I have two fur babies, Gizmo and Miss Chapin.  We actually live in Chapin now, so I know it’s strange that we have a dog named Chapin!   Honestly, we never expected to move back to our hometown but are so glad to be back in the area!  Again, I am thrilled to be a part of the H.E. Corley family, and I am really looking forward to getting to know all of you!
