Mrs. Stacey Ailes

Hi! I'm Stacey Ailes, and I am one of the speech language pathologists working here at HE Corley!  This is my first year in the district, and I am so happy to be here working with preschoolers and kindergarten through 3rd grade. I graduated from Columbia College with a bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology in 2016  and the University of South Carolina with a master's degree in speech-language pathology in 2021.  Prior to graduate school, I worked in the home-health setting as a speech-language pathologist assistant working with children from birth through 16-years-old.  I also hold a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). I live in Chapin with my husband as a blended family of five busy teenagers!

Mrs. Rose Smith

My name is Rose Smith, and the 2023-2024 school year is my 13th year at H. E. Corley. I received my undergraduate degree in Speech Correction from Columbia College, with a minor in Audiology.  In addition, I earned a Masters Degree of Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. I also have my CCC, Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology, from ASHA, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

I love being a part of the HEC staff and helping to create some of the displays in the hallways to make our school beautiful, and to show the benefits and mindset of our Leader In Me Magnet Program.

I am married to a dentist, who has his dental practice in Forest Acres, and has also helped coach high school football, for more than 20 years. We have 2 grown children.  Julianna is a Nurse Practitioner for an orthopedic surgeon, in Easley, SC. Hampton is a college football coach, and although he was previously part of the coaching staffs of Wofford College and Furman University, he is now on staff at a small college in Kansas City, Missouri.
