I have worked for the School District of Lexington and Richland Counties since I graduated from the University of South Carolina where I received a BA in English and also teaching credentials. I began my teaching career at what was once called Irmo Campus I, where I taught 7th grade ELA and a reading assistance class. In 1997, I transferred to Chapin Middle School where I have taught both a reading assistant class as well as various levels of 8th grade ELA.
I enjoy spending time with my family; and when I have time, I love to read a good book in the sunshine. I truly love the time I have with my students as well, and I always look forward to each year’s challenges and rewards.
