I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Communication Disorders and worked as a speech/language therapist for four years in Kentucky prior to moving to South Carolina. I then went on to pursue a master’s degree at the University of South Carolina specializing in learning disabilities. I have taught special education in South Carolina for about nineteen years (the last ten years being at CMS). I am also a Nationally Board Certified teacher.
I am married, have three great kids: Cadie and Derek, and Andrew. I love to travel and have had the opportunity to live in California and visit Hawaii, Ireland, France, England, Spain, and many other places.
