Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Kelly Reese

My name is Kelly Reese, and I am excited to begin my sixth year at Lake Murray Elementary.  I am so honored to serve as Principal of our WONDERFUL school!

Before working at Lake Murray Elementary, I was a teacher at Sandhills Elementary School, as well as a Literacy Coach at Frances Mack Intermediate School. I attended the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!) where I earned a Bachelor's degree in English and two Masters' degrees in Elementary Education and Education Administration.

I find great joy in working with children, families, and teachers. I know the value of education and aim to help all students succeed and enjoy school.  Please let me know if I can ever be of assistance to you or your family.

In my spare time, I love playing with my children (Maggie and James), exercising, and traveling to new places...especially the beach and the mountains!

Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Brian Scott

My name is Brian Scott, and I am one of the Assistant Principals at Lake Murray. I grew up in the area, having graduated from Chapin High School. I attended the University of South Carolina's Darla Moore School of Business with a degree in Finance and Business Management. After a couple of years in banking and real estate, I decided to pursue my passion of working with children. I reentered USC to obtain my Masters in Elementary Education.

Over the next decade I would work at two elementary schools in our district, teaching grades third through fifth. After receiving my Masters in Educational Administration, I served as the Administrative Assistant at Irmo Elementary. I am entering my third year at LMES, where I look forward to building on the wonderful relationships with our staff and community members.

My family consist of my wife Anne, who is also a teacher, and our three year old son Benjamin. We are excited to add a little girl to our family in December. Our administrative team is excited to serve your family any way we can in the coming school year.
