I am so excited to have the opportunity to serve as Principal at Chapin Elementary School. Prior to my time at Chapin Elementary, I served as Principal at CrossRoads Intermediate School for 10 years and as Assistant Principal for Instruction for 8 years. My teaching experience includes 5 years at Busbee Middle School and 2 years at Newberry Middle School. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education - Social Sciences from Clemson University and a Master's Degree in Education Administration from the University of South Carolina. I truly love working in a school setting every day and am inspired by the hard work of our teachers, staff, and students. It is an honor to work in the Chapin community and serve the amazing people at Chapin Elementary School!

It is a privilege to work at Chapin Elementary School as the Assistant Principal.  The smiling faces and positivity within the culture of Chapin make it a joy to be at work each day.  Having worked in District Five for fourteen years, I have experience in working with grades pre-K through 5, including academically gifted students.  My favorite part of working in education is developing relationships with the students and families within the community.  If there is anything that I can do to help you, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Working in education has been something that I’ve longed to do since I was in grade school. I have two bachelor's degrees, one in Marketing and the other in Elementary Education from the University of Maryland University College. Knowing that I wanted to lead, I went back to school and obtained a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University.  I feel blessed to work in a profession that I’m passionate about and one that allows me to impact the lives of so many people. I’ve always stood firm on the importance of creating a learning environment where everyone feels welcomed. Being the Administrative Assistant Principal at Chapin Elementary is an honor and I look forward to using my leadership skills and over 15 years of experience in education to help grow the school as well as the community.

My motto is: “You’re never too young to teach and you’re never too old to learn."
