    We Build Bright Futures

Irmo High School has a tremendous history of success in the arts, athletics, and academics.  As District 5’s fine arts magnet school, the tradition continues for our students and alumni.  As part of our fine arts magnet, students at IHS have long opportunities for study and performance in music, theater, dance, and visual art.  We offer unique and challenging courses in guitar, piano, world percussion and world dance, stained glass and other advanced artistic techniques, and technical theater coursework in our state of the art theater.  With this combination of coursework, our students receive professional quality experiences and training.  Our students also have tremendous opportunities for academic excellence.  Our growing International Baccalaureate program sends students to prestigious universities throughout the country, and provides excellent preparation for college level work from a global perspective.  In addition, we provide an extensive offering of AP courses for our students.  Our staff is focused on student success with a wide variety interventions to support students' needs.  While Irmo is most widely known in the athletic world for its soccer and basketball programs, we have a championship history in many sports.  Character is also a focus at Irmo.  Our students give to the community extensively through service projects and community involvement which allows students to grow as leaders and public servants.

We have a diverse and dynamic school located in the heart of South Carolina, and convenient to Lake Murray and the many other amenities of our region and our great state.  Please consider making Irmo your high school home.
