Shannon Fincannon, Principal
  • Principal Shannon Fincannon is now in her ninth year of serving the heart of the hive. Prior to becoming an administrator at Irmo Elementary, she held the position of Literacy Coach and Response to Intervention Specialist for eight years and has a total of 22 years experience in education. Shannon's undergraduate degree is in Elementary Education from The College of Charleston. She has a Masters of Education from Columbia College and a Masters in Educational Administration from The University of South Carolina. She is the mother of three children and is proud to call D5 home. Mrs. Fincannon enjoys spending time with family and relaxing on the water at Lake Murray or the beach.

     
Kristen Hill
  • Assistant Principal Kristen Hill is a National Board Certified teacher with 25 years​ of experience in education, having served as a classroom teacher at many grade levels, interventionist, math coach, Response to Intervention specialist and reading coach.  Kristen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications, a Masters of Arts in Teaching and a Masters in Educational Administration all from The University of South Carolina. Kristen is married and has two children and enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing at the beach.

Jason Babber, Administrative Assistant Principal
  • Administrative Assistant Principal Jason Bebber is incredibly excited to continue to be a part of the Irmo Elementary family. He is in his 13th year as an educator. He has served as a classroom teacher at multiple grade levels. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Clemson University, a Master of Arts in Principles of Learning and Teaching from Clemson University, is gifted and talented endorsed, and has a Masters of Education in Administration and Supervision from Southern Wesleyan University. Jason is married and has two children. He enjoys being outdoors, backpacking, camping, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends.  He also serves IES as the placement chair for special education services. He would love to answer any questions or concerns that you may have, and is excited to help you in any way possible.
