Before becoming Principal Shannon Wiley served as the Assistant Principal of Irmo Elementary for four years. Prior to becoming Assistant Principal she served as a Literacy Coach and Response to Intervention Specialist for eight years and has a total of 17 years experience in education. Shannon's undergraduate degree is in Elementary Education from The College of Charleston. She has a Masters of Education from Columbia College and a Masters in Educational Administration from The University of South Carolina. She is the mother of three children who also attend school in Lexington/Richland 5. Ms. Wiley enjoys spending time with family and relaxing on the water at Lake Murray or the beach.
Kristen Hill is a National Board Certified teacher with 21 years of experience in education having served as a classroom teacher in many grade levels, interventionist, math coach, Response to Intervention specialist and reading coach. Kristen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications, a Masters of Arts in Teaching and a Masters in Educational Administration all from The University of South Carolina. Kristen is married and has two children and enjoys spending time with family and relaxing at the beach.

Carla Carpenter Adams is a native of Orangeburg, S.C. Carla’s undergraduate degree is in Early Childhood Education from South Carolina State University. She has a Masters of Education Degree in Divergent Learning from Columbia College and a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University. Carla is National Board Certified and renewed as an Early Childhood Generalist . Carla has 27 years of experience in the field of education. She has taught kindergarten, first and second grade. Prior to joining our team she taught kindergarten in Lexington School District 2 and served as a District Teacher of the Year. Carla is married to Brian Adams and they are the proud parents of two sons.
