Hi, my name is Diana Martin, and this is my first year at NRES-AM! This is my 8th year teaching, but my first year teaching elementary-aged students. I previously taught preschoolers with developmental delays at H.E. Corley and Harbison West Elementary schools. I am proud to teach here at Nursery Road, as this is a very special school-not only did my mom work here, my sister went here as a student, and now I can walk here from my home!
Our classroom is called "The Learning Center", or "TLC", and we have the privilege of serving students in Kindergarten-5th grade with medically fragile needs. In our classroom you will find learning centers that meet the fine motor, gross motor, sensory, daily living, cognitive, social/emotional and communication needs of each student. We use research-based strategies as we help each child meet their unique potentials. In our classroom, you'll meet 2 wonderful ladies-Mrs. Alexander "Mrs. A", and Mrs. Tucker. Both ladies are very passionate about helping each student feel safe, loved, and successful. If you'd like to learn more about our class, please feel free to contact me via email: dmmartin@lexrich5.org; you can also see the amazing things we are doing on our class Twitter page: @MrsDianas_Dinos.
