Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Michelle Reeves

Welcome to fourth grade, home of the "happy campers"!  I am honored to be your child's teacher this year for all subjects, and look forward to partnering with you to make this a successful year of learning.  I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where I received degrees in both Psychology and a Masters of Arts in Teaching. I am from Louisville, Kentucky, but have enjoyed making Chapin, SC home for my family.  I began my teaching career here in District 5, and have since taught at mutiple schools and in various grades.  From my many positive experiences, I decided to challenge myself professionaly by transfering to a new school in our community where I could learn new families, students, and learnings styles.  I am thrilled to be a part of your child's life this year as I jump into my fourteenth year of educating!  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, including my husband (Michael), my four year old (Hampton), and nine year old (Colton), who is also a fourth grader here at Chapin Elementary.  I love spending time with my pets, and I have a Calico cat named Stella, and an American basset hound named Eleanor.  My boys have inspired so much of my teaching through motherhood, and remind me that we are always learning. I believe that students learn best from hands-on learning, being challenged, and learning to work together cooperatively, all of which I will incorporate into our daily routines.   Please reach out to me this year and let me know how to best help your child.  Thank you for entrusting me with your most precious gift!
