Mrs. Terri Cosby
Has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and a Master's Degree from Purdue University. She has additional coursework in technology, environmental science, inquiry with Dr. Mills, teaching American History, biology, and Reading strategies. She is a National Board certified teacher and a lifelong learner.
Most of Mrs. Cosby's teaching experiences are as a teacher of fourth graders, including gifted learners. She has also taught middle school science, first graders, and students with disabilities. She has also worked as a science coach for teachers and as an inclusion specialist. She is a coaching teacher for the University of South Carolina. She has been a teacher in District Five for 20 years and was awarded District Teacher of the Year.
Her passions include nature interpretation and traveling. She has taken field courses from wildlife biologists in national parks and forests. The most notable includes two trips trekking in Denali National Park in Alaska to study with bear biologists, large mammal experts, and writers. You'll often find her gardening, writing, camping, and photographing all creatures great and small.
