Mrs. Kary Dufault
I have worked in public education at the elementary and middle school level for the past thirteen years. I started my career as a school based mental health counselor at CrossRoads Middle School and went on to be the school social worker for CrossRoads Middle, H.E. Corley Elementary and Irmo Elementary. I am excited to continue to work at CrossRoads as a school counselor. I have a Masters in Social Work from California State University Sacramento. I also have a Master’s of Science in Continuing Education in Guidance and School Counseling. I am certified as a school counselor for K – 12. Sixth graders are awesome! Middle school is a time of transition and I am here to help navigate the twists and turns that go along with this journey. I believe in a comprehensive school counseling program based on the American School Counseling Association mindsets that is preventative in nature and meets the needs of the students and families of our unique population where “children are cherished and challenged.”
