I started my teaching career in 1987 as a third grade teacher in Columbia, S.C. I have been teaching in District Five since 1990. I taught sixth grade in 1990 at Seven Oaks Elementary, then moved with sixth grade to Irmo Middle to teach Language Arts. I have been teaching AGP Latin Exploratory Classes ( Academically Gifted Program ) at Cross Roads since 2001. In addtion to Latin, I am teaching 6th Grade Computer Experience ( Comp EXP ) Classes at CRIS. I have enjoyed teaching the sixth grade level for the marjority of my teaching career. I attended Winthrop College for my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and then received my Masters in Elementary Education degree at University of South Carolina Graduate School. Through the continued years of my teaching I have attained my Gifted and Talented Teaching Endorsement, Middle Level Language Arts Certification, and my Master's Plus 30 Teacher Certification. I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family and friends.
