Welcome to Ballentine Elementary School, home of the Ballentine Bears!
I am starting my twenty-ninth year as an educator in District 5, working at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. I joined the administrative team at BES sixteen years ago serving four years as Assistant Principal and twelve as Principal. I love being a part of the Ballentine family where our motto is “We are Ballentine!” and our theme is “All In!” We have an amazing school where students, their families and staff work and grow together to strengthen our culture of learning and high expectations; a culture of excellence where individual talents and differences create a diverse, positive learning environment and an exceptional educational foundation. I am always excited about the opportunities that a new school year brings. We value your input and support, and encourage your involvement as we work together to make this our BESt year yet! This is my eighth year as an administrator at the BESt school around. Prior to coming here, I taught students with exceptional needs within Lexington District Two in West Columbia and Buncombe County School District in Weaverville, North Carolina. At Ballentine, I am lucky to be around an awesome group of students and faculty on a daily basis. I am always eager to greet our students each day and hear what extraordinary things they have to share. It is my goal to do everything I possibly can to ensure that every student is striving to reach their absolute BESt while here at Ballentine. It is a privilege to have the opportunity to work at Ballentine with the BESt students and staff. The smiling faces and positivity within the culture of Ballentine make it a joy to be at work each day. This is my 17th year in District Five, I have worked in the elementary and secondary setting.
