Mrs. Elizabeth Knott

Hi!  I am the Response to Intervention (RtI) Specialist and Reading Coach here at LMES.  That means that I work with teachers to analyze student data as well as plan and implement effective classroom instruction that is based on current best practice.  My passion is helping students learn to believe in themselves and achieve their highest potential.  I am blessed to have the opportunity to work with such a harworking group of educators and students.

This the 13th year I have worked in education.  Before becoming the RtI Specialist and Reading Coach, I taught second grade for six years and taught reading intervention for 3 years.  My work in education has taught me that there is always more to learn!  I enjoy reading professional literature and taking classes to continue gaining knowledge in order to be the most effective educator I can be.

I attended the University of South Carolina where I recieved my undergraduate and graduate degrees.  I am still a huge Gamecock fan and especially love to watch Gamecock football.  Go Gamecocks!!!

In my spare time, I love to be with my family.  I am married to Chad, and we have a very sweet daughter, Caroline, as well as a very spoiled Weimaraner, Rex.  We enjoy being outside and hiking to see waterfalls.  My goal is to see all of the waterfalls in South Carolina!   I also enjoy reading, especially with Caroline.  Books are fun to share with someone special!

Dear Families,

My name is Robin Campbell and I have been at LMES since 2011.  Previously, I taught Reading Recovery in Anderson, SC; and before that, I taught first grade and Resource in Lexington 2.  I have been teaching for a long time, but I feel like I am still 25.

My day consists of reading and sharing books with small groups or individual students in Kindergarten through Fourth Grade.

In my free time, I love photography, hiking, and spending time with Bella, my dog.

Mrs. Jennifer Ebert

Dear Families,

My name is Jennifer Ebert and this is my 26th year in the education field.  I have previously taught kindergarten in Newberry, South Carolina, Reading Recovery in Atlanta, Georgia, first grade teacher and literacy coach in Lexington 1.  I’m very excited to be teaching our future leaders.  Children are so curious, imaginative, and eager to learn; and being elementary students, they definitely keep you on your toes.  In addition to these great qualities of an elementary student, I think teacher is a quality that should be included.  We can learn so much from our little ones.  I know I learn from them each day more than they know.

My husband (Mark) and I have been married for twenty-two years and we have four wonderful children.  Taylor is a junior at Clemson University, Ryan and Lindsey are 12th graders (yes, they are twins and can be double trouble once-in-a-while), and Claire is in kindergarten here at LMES.  We also have a Boxer named Boomer who will be 12 this year.  He is definitely part of the family and we love him very much.

I’m so excited to be able to be a part of your child’s life!  I know through our partnership, communication, and dedication we will be able to accomplish what is best for your child. Please let me know if there is anything we need to talk about.  I want to have open communication from me to you and from you to me.  We are in this together for the better of our children.  As partners in education, I want to work with you to make our children the best here at Lake Murray Elementary!
