Degrees and Certifications:

Courtney Woodham

My name is Courtney Woodham, and I have been teaching 7th grade Language Arts at Chapin Middle since 2016. I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina. Go Gamecocks! I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Middle-Level Education with an emphasis on English and mathematics. I have also earned the Gifted and Talented teaching endorsement and the SC 4.0 Evaluator training endorsement. In December of 2021, I received my M. Ed in Administration and Supervision from Anderson University. While working at CMS, I have served as a Teacher Technology Leader, 7th-grade Team Leader, COVID Support Teacher, 7th-grade Language Arts Data Team Facilitator, SIC member, teacher mentor, FCA sponsor, and No Apologies, No Regrets Sponsor.

I am originally from the small town of Honea Path, SC. My parents and younger brother still live there, so I love to visit my family whenever I can. After graduating from college, I decided to make Chapin, SC my new home. My husband, Zach, and I got married in June of 2020. We have a golden retriever named Sasha, and we are expecting our first child in December of 2022. We are so excited to welcome a little boy to our family!

I look forward to working with another great group of students this year at Chapin Middle School. It is going to be a wonderful school year!
