Mrs. Lisa L. Hollis

Hello! My name is Lisa L. Hollis, and this is my fourth year teaching at Dutch Fork Middle School and my eighteenth year as an educator. I teach 7th & 8th graders in the Literacy Lab. I’m a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and earned both my bachelor’s degree in English education and my master’s degree in English at the University of New Orleans.  I have taught students in grades 7th through 12th and at the college level as well. My favorite pastime is reading, so I encourage my students to read as much as possible and I like to tell them, “The more you read, the better writer you will be.”

You may contact me by e-mail at lhollis@lexrich5.org or by phone at 476-4858.

Teacher Assistant

My name is Linda Johnson, and I am proud to call DFMS my new home.  I assist Mrs. Hollis in the Literacy Lab.  My husband and I moved to South Carolina two years ago from Maryland. I have two adult sons and three grandchildren.

I received my Associate's degree in Information Technology from Purdue University. Professionally, I've been working with children from infancy to age 12 for more than 10 years, which I have immensly enjoyed.  In helping children learn and build lifelong skills, I have learned they ALL have a kalediscope of talents, interest, and needs.  All which inspire me to continue working with children and their families.

I enjoy reading books to children, discovering new places, motorcycling, spending quality time with family, friends and meeting new ones.  I especially enjoy the summer when my grandchildren come to visit.

I look forward to working with your child and helping them build their literacy skills.
