Hi!
My name is Cari Thompson and I have been teaching middle level science for 11 years. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Conservation Biology from Brigham Young University and a M.Ed in Instructional Technology from Coastal Carolina University. In my early years, I worked for the Division of Wildlife Resources and the Forest Service. After raising my children for 12 years, I decided to enter the education field where I could share my love of science with a new generation of learners. Within the classroom, my goal is to make science relevant by connecting student learning to real world events.
I hold a certification in Middle Level Science and I am considered "Highly Qualified" by the State of South Carolina. I also hold a "Gifted and Talented" endorsement.
I have been married to my best friend for 26 years and we have four children. I have one son and three daughters and a yellow lab fur baby named Gronk. In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my family, SCUBA diving, and being a swim mom.
