This is my tenth year teaching at SHHS and my thirty-first year of teaching overall.  I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Carson-Newman College in Tennessee and my Master's Degree in Secondary Education from the University of South Carolina.  As a history educator, I strive to make history fun and engaging as students make connections between the past and the present.  My goal is to guide my students as they improve their critical thinking skills, expand their ability to analyze historical and geographical sources, and mature into responsible citizens.  Ultimately, I want my students to relate to history in an exciting way that will help them exceed their potentials.
