Welcome to my classroom web page for Honors World History, CP History, AP European History, and AP World History. My classroom in C113 and I am a part of the Exercise Science Academy. My classroom telephone number is 476-8759. My Academic Assistance hours are Monday afternoon from 3:30-4:30 and Thursday morning from 8:00-8:30. I am also available during lunch by appointment. Other times may be available based on the mutual convenience of both student and teacher.
This is my fourth year teaching at SHHS and my twenty-fifth year of teaching overall. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Carson-Newman College in Tennessee and my Master's Degree in Secondary Education from the University of South Carolina. As a history educator, I strive to make history fun and engaging as students make connections between the past and the present. My goal is guide my students as they improve their critical thinking skills, expand their ability to analyze historical and geographical sources, and mature into responsible citizens. Ultimately, I want my students to relate to history and geography in an exciting way that will help them exceed their potentials.
