Mrs. Susana Sadowki’s journey to becoming a Spring Hill Spanish teacher began in her native country of Colombia. Incidentally, her first teaching experience in the United States was in Columbia, South Carolina. Although her locale changed, her passion for teaching has only increased in her travels. Mrs. Sadowski earned her BA degree in Foreign Language Studies at Javeriana University in Bogota D.C., Colombia in 2007. After earning her degree, Mrs. Sadowski worked as an English Foreign Language teacher at both the elementary and high school levels, heading the Foreign Languages Department during her final year. Since relocating to the United States in 2009, Mrs. Sadowski has been a Spanish teacher at Eau Claire High School in Columbia, South Carolina, and one of the pioneers of teachers at Spring Hill since its opening in 2013.
Mrs. Sadowski’s vision is to provide the opportunity and environment for her students not only to become familiar with the Spanish language but also to be well on the way to their mastery of it. Mrs. Sadowski’s approach includes sharing her native culture with her students to broaden their understanding of the language.
Mrs. Sadowski has taught almost every Spanish class level at SHHS, (Spanish II, IIICP, IIIH, IVH, and 5 AP) which allows her to continue growing in her teaching methods and techniques.
