Mr. Jared Clayton

Welcome to Mr. Clayton's Teacher page!

Jared Clayton is a Social Studies teacher at Spring Hill High School, heading into his 10th year at the school. Prior to joining the SHHS faculty, he taught at Eau Claire High School in Columbia for six years and at the Selwyn College Preparatory School in Denton, TX for two years. He received his undergraduate degree in Secondary Education of History at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania and completed his master's degree in Divergent Learning at Columbia College. When in the classroom, Mr. Clayton believes in creating a fun, open learning environment that helps to challenge students and improve their critical and creative thinking skills.

 Mr. Clayton enjoys spending time with family and friends. When not in the classroom, he enjoys cooking, listening to music, and watching Steelers football.
