Irmo High School now accepting nominations for Hall of Fame class of 2020
IRMO – Irmo High School International School for the Arts and the Irmo High School Education Foundation are accepting nominations for the school’s Hall of Fame class of 2020 with a deadline of September 15, 2019.
Nominees may be graduates or former faculty/staff of Irmo High School. Alumni must have graduated five years ago or more, and staff members must have resigned or retired at least five years ago. Nominees should have made a significant contribution to their community, state, or country in their careers or time after leaving Irmo High School.
The inductees will be selected by the board of the Irmo High School Education Foundation, and will be honored at a ceremony on February 21, 2020 at the Irmo High School Center for the Arts.
"Honoring these outstanding alumni recognizes their achievements and shows our students what they can also accomplish in the future,” said Sarah Ostergaard, chair of the Irmo High School Education Foundation. “The Hall of Fame inductees walked the same halls our students do today! It is an inspirational celebration of our school community's proud past and bright future."
Nominations must be received by September 15, 2019. The inductees will be announced by the end of October 2019. Nomination letters should be emailed to IHSeducationfoundation@gmail.com or mailed to Irmo High School Education Foundation, c/o Irmo High School International School for the Arts, 6671 St. Andrews Road Columbia, SC 29212.
The Irmo High School Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission to promote academics at Irmo High School International School for the Arts.
