Welcome to Second Grade!

My name is Mrs. Crossett and this is my third year teaching at Irmo Elementary. I have taught second grade for the last 2 years and am excited to teach second again this year! I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in May 2017. I am so excited for the awesome things we are going to learn about this year.

Most of my family lives in North Carolina, but when I came to USC for school, I knew that South Carolina would be the place that I would call home! Now that I have had the opportunity to work with the staff, families, and students at IES, there is no place that I would rather be.

When I am not spending Saturdays cheering on the Gamecocks at Williams-Brice Stadium, you can usually find me watching HGTV and trying out some DIY projects around my house. My husband and I also spend a ton of time throwing the tennis ball for our dog, Pookah, and taking him on walks around Irmo!

I am looking forward to a fantastic year ahead! I truly believe that teaching is 'heart' work! Please don't hesitate to contact me at kcrossett@lexrich5.org with any questions you may have.
