Welcome Message from our Principal, Mr. Randy Norman

    Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year.  I am excited to continue leading a school with such an extraordinary educational community.  At Harbison West, we believe all Heroes must go through the process of Believing and Growing before they can Soar. One of the most important components of this process is the partnership between home and school. Along with the teachers and staff, I will continue the legacy of success established at HWES by building strong relationships with parents, students, and community partners.  We will focus on character education initiatives, academic skills, the use of data to drive instruction and to provide consistent implementation of the curriculum in a rigorous manner so that we can continue to increase all of the students' achievements. We encourage you to participate in your child’s school experience by attending conferences, volunteering, joining the PTO, coming to school events, and making suggestions to the School Improvement Council.

As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors, teachers, students, and parents are excited to be here! This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment.  We will Love, value, and respect every student that steps on our campus. We will Provide what our students need to be successful and we will Protect our students by creating a safe learning environment. When we Love, Provide, and Protect our students they will be able to Believe, Grow, and Soar.

I look forward to working with you as a team to help each student at Harbison West Elementary School meet their goals and have a successful school year!  Thank you for your support as we continue to Love, Provide, & Protect.

    Best Regards,

    Randy Norman
