Bienvenue! I started teaching in 1996 in my hometown of Naperville, Illinois before moving to Hilton Head. I took a break from teaching to raise my children and returned to the classroom at Irmo HS and River Springs Elementary. In 2017, I began teaching at Chapin Middle School. I graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in French. I also have a MA in Counseling Psychology, a Gifted and Talented endorsement, and am working towards an ESOL endorsement. I have traveled extensively worldwide and completed two study abroad programs in France (Paris and Nice).  My husband and I have a son (CHS '20, College of Charleston '24), a daughter (SHHS '23), and numerous pets.  I also help coach the CHS Swim Team. My hobbies include scuba diving, swimming, traveling, and photography. I am looking forward to another great year at CMS!

"Learning a foreign language, and the culture that goes with it, is one of the most useful things we can do to broaden the empathy and imaginative sympathy and cultural outlook of children." -Michael Gove
