Ms. Elizabeth Beard

My name is Elizabeth Beard, and I have been teaching for 18 years.  I graduated from Anderson College with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and from there, I went on to pursue my master's degree in Educational Technology.  Since then, I have also earned endorsements as a Read-to-Succeed literacy teacher and a giffted and talented teacher.  I am certified in the areas of elementary and online teaching. 

 

Before coming to LexRich5 five years ago, I taught in a virtual school for nine years; as a result, I am excited to be working with students virtually again this year as a teacher in LexRich 5's virtual school option called FIVE.  Students will be learning about several technology tools that are available to us which will enable them to become successful throughout their schooling career and beyond.    

 

Teaching has always been a love of mine, and I can honestly say that I wouldn't want to do anything else!  I look forward to seeing the students each day and being a part of their success and growth; I teach students that success is awesome, but it's also important to learn from our mistakes.  It is my honor and privilege to be a small stepping stone in the lives of these children as they learn and grow as well as to partner with families throughout this school year.  My hope is that they we will all learn a lot academically, socially, and emotionally throughout the months that we have together.
