Automotive Collision
A NATEF/I-CAR certified shop that is designed to introduce students to the entry level work environment associated with today's collision repair shops. Students learn both verbally and hands on how to properly repair damaged vehicles and how to correctly return them to a customer meeting all manufacture standards.
The Collision class will learn proper Technics in welding, non structural repair, estimating and damage repair and proper refinish Technics. The class is designed around real world industry standards which allow students to earn the same certifications as a technician working in a Collision repair center. The class consists of a 2 year program giving students a chance to earn 4 credits and the ability to earn many industry certifications which will travel with them as they complete the program and graduate high school.
The Automotive Collision program is located at Irmo High School International School for the Arts.
Transportation is available from each high school.
