I am so excited to be teaching Four Year Old Kindergarten!! I am an Air Force Brat and have lived in Massachusetts, Delaware, Maryland, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and even England! I graduated from Radford University in Virginia with an Elementary Education degree and a Concentration in Math and Special Education. At one point, I held a teaching certificate in the states of Virginia, North Carolina, and Delaware all at the same time. :) I taught Fifth Grade and Fifth Grade Special Education prior to having my first child. After having children, I continued to substitute while being a stay-at-home mom raising my four children. When the time felt right, I returned to teaching to be able to come back to what I love. My heart is in teaching this age group and seeing the progress they make throughout the year. It is so rewarding to see the growth they make socially, emotionally, and academically.
I love to read in between school and being a mom. I love the mountains, and that is where our camping theme came from for our classroom. I love what I do, and I love getting up and coming to school each day. These children make my heart happy!! Thank you for sharing them with me! Mrs. DeFrank, our Instructional Assistant, and I look forward to a GREAT year!!
