Committed to Excellence for All Students
Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Amanda May
I am beyond blessed to be part of the CES school family. I am originally from a small town in Delaware, but prior to moving to South Carolina, I lived in Orlando Florida for 13 years. My husband and I moved to the beautiful town of Chapin to enjoy Lake Murray with our three beautiful boys Bryson, Caleb and Asher.
This will be my 16th year of teaching. I have a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education from the University of Delaware. Prior to moving to South Carolina three years ago, I taught younger students in the elementary setting and adult students at Orlando Tech. My adult education courses were tailored towards students who wished to work in a childcare setting to help them learn early childhood standards, and history and theories in Early Childhood. I have also presented at Early Childhood conferences on behavior management and literacy concepts. Teaching is both my joy and passion. I am so excited to share my love of teaching with the Chapin community. It matters that my students are in an environment in which they are loved and looked at as individual learners. My job is to help them reach their highest potential as a well-rounded student that is engaged in learning as well as being a wonderful person in our Chapin community. I am looking forward to a great year!
