Mrs. Kirsten McClam

Hi, my name is Kirsten McClam and I grew up in Eastover, South Carolina.  I have 9 years experience as an elementary school resource teacher.  I graduated from Clemson University in 2014 and earned a degree in Special Education.  This is my second year at Chapin Elementary School teaching resource.  I previously taught elementary resource at Ballentine Elementary and Springdale Elementary.  My favorite part of my job is seeing the joy when a student learns something new, especially when a child learns to read.  During the course of this school year I will implement instructional strategies and curriculums to target the specific needs of your child. 

When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my husband, Cole, two boys Drakeford (3 years old) and Weathers (5 months old), and our Labrador Retriever, Bear.  We spend a lot of time as a family boating on Lake Murray as a family.  I also love to garden and shop.
