Hello! My name is Reggie Salazar and I am a US Army Veteran and served my country for 24 years. I retired as a Lieutenant Colonel and served in a variety of leadership positions all over the world. I have spent the last 3 years in the education field as a Foreign Language instructor and the 7th grade Leadership (PRO TEAM) and the 8th grade Financial Literacy teacher at Chapin Middle School. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and I hold a Masters degree in Business Managment. It is an honor and a privelege to have your child in my class. I am so blessed to be in a position where I can help coach, teach, and mentor them as they prepare for the rigors of high school and life. I have a strong sense of passion for our youth and I am committed to helping develop the next generation of citizens and leaders. I have served on the CMS School Improvement Council (SIC) and served as the Chairman of the SIC from 2015-2017, and 2019-2021.
My family and I have lived in Chapin for six years and my wife Lauri and I have been married for 23 years. We have two children, my daughter Sadie who is a 2021 Chapin High School graduate and is a Freshman at Clemson Unviersity, and my son Owen who is a Sophomore at Chapin High. My hobbies include, anything outdoors, watching sports, and physical fitness.
