Mr. Jacob Wilkerson

Mr. Wilkerson is the Physical Education teacher at the Academy. Prior to coming to the Academy in 2019 he taught at Pine Ridge Middle School for 8 years, at Airport High School for 27 years, and as an itinerant at Dutch Fork Elementary, Irmo Elementary and Ballentine Elementary for 1 year. He has also coached high school football , soccer , baseball , track , and weight lifting. He is also a certified ropes course instructor. Mr. Wilkerson graduated from Airport High School. He earned his Bachlor's degree from the University of South Carolina and a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of South Carolina. Mr. Wilkerson enjoys running, lifting weights and all outdoor activities. He especially enjoys spending time with his wife, his girls and his grandchildren.
