Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Jill T. Chapman

My name is Jill Chapman, and I am the Special Education Transition Support Teacher at the Academy. I grew up in Saint Andrews and graduated from Columbia High School. Later I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education from the College of Charleston, a Masters in Creative Arts & Learning Degree from Lesley University, and a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from USC.

My teaching career began in 1998 when I started teaching students with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities. Since then, I have had the opportunity to teach students of various ages throughout Aiken County, Berkeley County, and Lexington County. Now I am entering my third year at the Academy, where I have the opportunity to support our students as they transition back to their home schools.

My husband and I have two daughters that attend schools in Lex Rich 5. Together we enjoy traveling, playing cards, and watching movies.
