Ms. Laurel Phelps

Hello, and welcome to Harbison West! I recieved my Bachelor's, Master's, and teaching credential from the beautiful University of California, Santa Barbara. I taught in Santa Barbara for many years before moving across the country to the equally beautiful South Carolina. We trucked our dog, snake, and lizard (and many house plants) 3,000 miles and have not regretted the move one bit. I love exploring, reading, knitting, and being in nature. I love getting outdoors and meeting new people. I have taught middle school and elementary for eleven years. The subjects of math and science are dear to my heart, as I love understanding how the world intricately works aruond us. The most important thing to know about me is that I value kindness, respect, and hard work above all other traits. Those are the core tennants of my classroom. I cannot wait to meet you and your child!
