Ms. Christine Milling

I am so excited to be teaching at Irmo High School this year! I began my teaching career in Charlotte-Mecklenburg right out of college. After 5 years of teaching all types of biology (Bio 1, Bio 2, Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate, Anatomy and Physiology and even Biotechnoloy), I left for a long career in medical sales and marketing. My family now lives in Chapin on a small homestead we call Big Belly Farm. We are surrounded by woods, goats, chickens, and have 3 rescued dogs and a feral cat that lives inside.  In addition to serving on the Chapin We Care Board as its Treasurer, I am also a long-time certified yoga instructor.  We are really happy that our son, Luke, is a fifth grader at Irmo Elementary School.

Parents and students are more than welcome to reach me through email or phone (it goes to voicemail during the school day). I am available for tutorial on Wednesdays until 4:30 and during ELT by appointment. I ask that students join my Google Classroom and bring their charged Chromebook every day to class. Whether you are in my physical science or biology class, we have a fun and challenging year ahead of us.  I look forward to getting to know students, to help inspire a love of everyday science, and am especially #IrmoProud.
