MEDIA MAGNET - Communicate, Collaborate, Create / Title One
CHRISTIAN ENGLISH, PRINCIPAL
I am honored to serve as the Principal of Seven Oaks Elementary School MEDIA Magnet and am excited about what we can accomplish together. Seven Oaks is a remarkable place where we foster an environment designed to help students, families, faculty and staff continue learning to communicate, create and collaborate as we focus on teaching 21st-century skills.
Prior to joining the SOESMM family, I served as an Assistant Principal at Dutch Fork High School for six years. I also taught Spanish at both DFHS and at Myers Park High School for nine years. I earned a bachelor's degree in Spanish from Wofford College and a master's degree in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, working on projects around the house, watching basketball and football, and enjoying the outdoors.
MICHELLE EANES JOHNSON, ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
What a privilege it is to continue serving at Seven Oaks Elementary MEDIA Magnet school! Having the opportunity to grow with children, families and staff as we learn to communicate, create and collaborate together is an exciting adventure, indeed. I am grateful for and proud to be a member of such a positive learning community where we practice being safe, responsible and respectful in all of our learning spaces and places.
I am a proud Hokie at heart as I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Family Child Development with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. Early in my teaching career, I developed a passion for mentor leadership and decided to earn a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of Virginia located in Charlottesville, Virginia. As a servant-leader, it is my joy to support teachers and families in helping our students engage in learning opportunities that grow their minds and hearts so that they are successful in their classrooms, homes and communities. When I leave my school family, I head home to three precious children and a pup named Fritz. I enjoy attending my children’s sporting events - volleyball, basketball, soccer and golf. We love to play games together, have dance parties, and we all agree that beach-time is the best time for the Johnsons!
