A Little About Me:

I am currently entering my 14th year of teaching! I consider myself very blessed to be a part of the education profession. I've taught every grade level and subject in between 2nd-8th grade.  Most of my experience has been with teaching 4th and 5th grade. I'm a graduate of Newberry College, where I earned my Bachelor's in Elementary Education.  I received my Master's in Education from Columbia College.  I am also a National Board Certified Teacher in the content area of Literacy. As a teacher, I believe it is essential to be a lifelong learner and encourage my students to be as well.

Education Beliefs

Each school year is a new adventure, and I am always amazed at the take aways I receive from my students year after year.  My goal for my students year to year continues to involve instilling a love for learning.  I understand that we all have our on strengths.  I love the art of helping children discover their own niche, so that they can make use of it in the future. I firmly believe that we are all smart... sometimes it just takes finding "how" we are smart.
