Mr. Cory Standridge

Hello!!  I'm Cory Standridge.  I'm an English teacher here at Irmo High School.  This is my 12th year teaching, and my second here at Irmo High School.  I'm a graduate of the University of South Carolina, holding a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master's in Teaching.  I spent the first three years of my teaching career at Denmark-Olar High School in Denmark, SC.  From there I spent a year at my alma mater, White Knoll High School.  Since 2014, I spent the previous 5+ years at Columbia High School, in Richland School District 1.

When I'm not teaching English to high schoolers, I am the father of four AMAZING kids that keep me busy.  Zachary, who's 15, Zoey Jane, 12, Alexander, 10, and Emma Grace, 7 are my world outside of the school.  During the brief free time I have I spend time with my amazing girlfriend, and I'm an avid lover of nerd culture; including all the shows on Neflix/Hulu/Disney+, graphic novels, the MCU, and DCEU.  If you have any other other questions or comments (from here on out referred to as Quemments), you can email them to me at cstandridge@lexrich5.org
