Ms. Samantha Fraser

Hello!  My name is Samantha Fraser. I love to teach and learn with my kids!  When I'm not teaching, I spend my free time with my nose in a book.  I also love to explore nature, draw, listen to music, and watch Netflix.  The rest of my time, I spend time with my family, friends, and my "babies" - a 16 year old Dachshund (Cheyenne), a 2 year old rescue cat (Tiger), and a hyperactive kitten (Oliver).

I have lived in several states in the Midwest and Southeast, but I finally planted roots in Columbia, SC, where I attended Midlands Technical College and the University of Phoenix to earn my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.  Additionally, I have a MACTE Certification of Montessori Education for Elementary I and II.  I just completed my Gifted and Talented certificate classes as well.

I have taught 3rd and 4th graders in a multi-age classroom at Sandhills Elementary in Lexington 4, 3rd graders at East Point Academy, and 4th grade at LES last year.  This will be my seventh year of teaching, and my second year of teaching at LES.  I am so proud to be part of the Leaphart family!
