Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Kris Long

I have worked as a professional educator since completing my undergraduate degree in Physical Education from Limestone University. I have a masters degree from Cambridge College in Boston, MA and 30 hours above my masters from LaVearn. I’m also CPR certified and mentor trained.

My service in School District Five of Lexington Richland Counties began with teaching Physical Education at Irmo High School in 1990. I also started the Varsity Girls Soccer team at Irmo High School. I left LexRich5 after five years of service, when I got married and moved to Spartanburg.  Last year, I rejoined the LexRich5 team by joining the Chapin Middle School staff.

I have two teenagers that both attend Spring Hill. My son is 6’10” and plays varsity football at Chapin High and my daughter is 6’4” and plays varsity volleyball for Chapin High. I enjoy spending time with my family and time at the beach.
