Meet Mrs. Roberts
Welcome to Kindergarten! I am so excited about our year together! This is my 16th year of teaching. I have taught Kindergarten for 8 years and first grade for 8 years before that. I love getting to develop a love of learning in my students and getting to build the foundation for their educational career. Kindergarten is a year to develop social-emotional skills, curiosity and problem solving, all while growing academically and having fun.
I have been married to my husband, Will, for 15 years. We have a son, Liam, in 8th grade and a daughter, Caroline, in 4th grade. I enjoy cheering on the Gamecocks, spending time with family at the lake, and supporting my children at their sporting events.
Communication is important to me. I can always be reached at eerobert@lexrich5.org. I am looking forward to a fun year of learning and growing!
Meet Mrs. Martin
My name is Laurie Martin and this is my 15th year at Oak Pointe. I absolutely love working with Kindergarteners! Prior to Kindergarten, I taught 4 year old Kindergarten and was the director of a child care center. I attended the University of Kentucky and Marshall University.
I am married and have two grown children and a yellow lab. My son is a Financial Advisor in Florida and my daughter teaches Special Ed here at Oak Pointe. My husband and I enjoy traveling, camping and fun on the lake.
Meet Miss Lance
My name is Carter Lance, and I am a student at the University of South Carolina. I am studying early childhood education and have always wanted to follow my passion of teaching. I am going to be student teaching at Oak Pointe in your child’s classroom and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of the students. I was born and raised in South Carolina and I graduated from Dutch Fork High School. I am also an Oak Pointe alumnus and can’t wait to experience the school from a teacher’s perspective. Some of my hobbies include cooking,
listening to music and being with friends and family. I look forward to a great semester full of learning, growth, and fun.
