Mrs. Lacey Yeoman

My name is Lacey Yeoman and I am a first grade teacher here at Leaphart Elementary STEAM Magnet. This is my 9th year as a teacher. I have taught Kindergarten and First Grade. I believe all students can learn when provided with meaningful hands on experiences. My background is in play based learning in Kindergarten so I try to bring as much of that as possible to traditional 1st grade. I also love to provide students with opportunities to see themselves in the classroom and provide them with lifelong skills. I graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Masters in Educational Technology. I moved to Irmo for love! My husband and I have a boxer that we enjoy taking to local restaurants and parks.  I enjoy my time at Leaphart STEAM magnet because I believe it has the truest feeling of family! I am glad you're here and I look forward to working together.
