Mrs. Michaela Easterling

My name is Michaela Easterling and I am on the 2nd grade team at Leaphart. This is my 10th year teaching in District Five. Prior to teaching at Leaphart, I taught at Chapin Intermediate School (5th and 6th grades). Second grade is such a special year for students, as they learn to be more accountable for themselves, taking on more responsibilities and learning that they can do hard things! My encouragement to my students is that they always put forth their personal best. Their personal best will always be enough. I have been married to my husband, Jack, for 19 years. We have two daughters--Savannah is a college freshman at CIU, and Sophia is a 5th grader. We also have a malshipoo named Frapps.
