Mr. Mike Hill
Coach Mike Hill
My name is Mike Hill and I am excited to be the new physcical education teacher at Dutch Fork Elementary School. I have been a South Carolina native my entire life. I have taught P.E. in the South Carolina public school system for the past 30 plus years. I strongly believe my students should burn energy and have fun each and every time they attend my physical education class. I want to help my students understand that there is a direct connection between taking care of their bodies in the same way they are learning to protect their environment. Conservation and recycling will preserve our planet in the same way a proper diet and healthy exercise habits will enable us to prolong our lifetimes.
The Perks of Physical Education
Physical Education activities provide students with the determination, knowledge, and skills to lead a healthy lifestyle throughout their lifetime. We shall include proper diet, nutrition, and how the systems of the human body function in addition to our fitness and exercise routines in class. Regular physical fitness has been proven to increase school performance, reduce the incidence of life-threatening disease, and have a positive impact on the social and emotional well-being of the student. We shall encourage 60 minutes of play each and every day for all of our students!
